A New Friday Feature!!
Oh Dog! I have a big announcement and I am SO excited!
The holidays are coming!
Now I know what you US readers are thinking- “But Rumpy, Thanksgiving isn’t here yet!” I know, but I am so excited!
So to share the excitement, we’re going to talk Christmas on Fridays! And you can help!
How?
Send me your letters to Santa and I’ll publish them here!
Now with all due respect, please save the tear-jerker letters. We’d ALL like for all animals to have a forever home and world peace and all that. But let’s face it, there’s PLENTY of places to get your fix for emotional overload in the world, especially this time of year.
I simply want to create a space where we can be happy and enjoy the holidays without expectations or feelings of dread or that our celebration just “isn’t quite good enough.”
And because this is an inclusive blog (and it’s MY blog so I can be if I want to!), we’d also like to learn about other holiday celebrations. So if you want to write a piece about celebrations in your culture, we’d love to hear about it.
Speaking of Celebrations, the Santa Paws Drive has chosen the recipients of its Holiday Toy Drive for this year! To find out the winners, click HERE to visit their website.
They are now accepting donations of cat toys, dog toys, and cash! How cool is that! For info on how to donate, click HERE.
And be sure to check out their blog for some profiles of the agencies they’re supporting this year.
So, funny, sincere or downright silly, send your letters to Santa c/o Rumpy T. Drummond at rumparoni@gmail.com. I can promise you Santa will see them. Why? Well, I can’t reveal my source just yet, but trust me on this one!
Ho Ho Ho!!!!

Don’t forget Chanukah Charlie!
(hint, hint!)
Chanukah falls with Christmas this year…just sayin’
xoxoxo
November 4, 2011 at 8:50 AM
Of course! Like I said, I wanna be inclusive. But I will need advice on how to do so. So thanks for speaking up!!!! Now, how do we do this?
November 5, 2011 at 11:23 AM
Easy! The fur babies can write to their “gift giver” of choice! Santa, Chanukah Charlie or whomever!
Doesn’t matter what we all believe in, just that we all share in the spirit and magic of the holiday season!
November 4, 2011 at 8:38 AM

November 4, 2011 at 9:47 AM
If you have fur, a tail or paws,
Big ears, a snout or even jaws,
Sit down and then,
Pick up a pen,
And write a note to Santa Claus.
November 4, 2011 at 1:10 PM
Oh Dog! That is fantastic Bigfoot! You got it going on!
Will you write your letter to Santa in limerick form?

This is a great idea, RumpyDog – and it’s just as well you gave the warning or you WOULD be getting all those tearjerker letters.
Gosh I love photos of you, dog, and the gorgeous orange cat. Absolutely home-making. This is a great page.
