DeDe’s Got a Secret!

Oh Dog! It’s Sunday, and that means it’s once again time to visit with your Dear DeDe!  So gather around my friends, because this week Dear DeDe has a secret to share with you!

Shhhhh!!!! I gotta secret!

For the past six weeks, you could find me parked in front of the TV at 7 pm Central time watching the CBS show Dogs in the City.  And I loved every episode.

Why, you ask?

Simple…. I got it bad for Justin Silver!

Now I’m sure you know why humans, especially women, love this guy…. he is indeed a handsome dog trainer!

But I love this guy for different reasons.

Isn’t this the cutest pic ever?
(from tvguide.com)

Justin started out fostering and rehabilitating abused animals.  I mean, really, that’s enough to make my heart swoon!

Then he opened his company, The Language of Dogs.  This is a full-service company offering training, pet-sitting and dog-walking!

But that’s not all!  Did you know that Justin is also a comedian?  He sure is! AND he started a group called Funny for Fido, a charity that raises money to provide grants to no-kill rescue groups.  Some big-name comedians perform at their annual fundraising event!

And many of the people he worked with in Dogs in the City were people who were caring for rescue dogs.

Oh, Dog, be still my beating heart!!!!

I do have to say that I’m rather disappointed that the show wasn’t better supported by my friends.  I mean, really, this guy is working his heart out to make the world a better place for us animals…… so where’s the love?

I sure hope CBS chooses to pick the show up for another season.

Have a good week everybody!

  31. DeDe, our family taped the show so we could watch it each week. I don’t know why it’s not more popular. More people should seek help with their dogs–even if Justin isn’t available to help them!! xo Berner Girls

  32. He is a dreamboat! You said it DeDe!

  33. Justin is a hero!

  34. We like Dogs in the City and tried to watch all the shows. Justin is cute, but we like him because he helps dogs and helps people understand their dog better. We didn’t know he was also doing all the other rescue, and charity work. That makes him a terrific guy, we hope they pick it up next season too!

  35. Hey DeDe, Jet here.

Mom posted about that show before it aired! We’ve watched a few times, too. Thanks for filling in the background. I’ll check with JJ to see if she is crushing on him!

  36. He’s definitely a hottie!

  37. I think the show is cute and that Justin is certainly drool-worthy! :) I hope more seasons continue, especially now that Cesar’s show is ending. I didn’t watch much of Cesar but I think it’s great for a show to be out there to educate people on animals. I actually think people should be tested about and how to care for animals. But that is for another time… ;)
