Introducing Ellie and Edmond!
Oh Dog! I am so excited! Today I have two wonderful guests- a horse and an elephant! They are fellow bloggers at The Adventures of Ellie and Edmond. Once you get to know them you will absolutely love them! So please help me welcome Ellie and Edmond!
Rumpy: Thanks so much for being my guest today! Please tell the audience about the two of you!
Ellie: I’m Ellie the elephant and Edmond is the horse! We are best friends and adventurers! Our mission in life is to share the amazing animals of our planet with everyone!
Rumpy: I know I had no idea there were so many kinds of creatures!
Ellie: We truly believe that you protect what you love. We hope by introducing people to different animals, from reptiles to mammals to birds that they will fall in love with the amazing diversity of our animal world. We want to inspire people get outside and enjoy nature and protect our animal friends’ precious habitats.
Rumpy: An admirable aim, my friends!
Edmond: We are diligently working on a series of children’s books. Each book will focus on an endangered species.
Rumpy: Wow! I can hardly wait! Tell us about your family.
Ellie: We live at Ellie and Edmond headquarters with our photographer and IT guy and a cat named Moe. Moe used to try and eat us, but we’ve made peace by moving to a higher shelf. Hehehe!
Rumpy: Uh oh! He must be related to June Buggie! What do you like to do for fun?
Ellie: We love to go on bike rides, play dominoes and read. I love to draw and have been practicing loads. Edmond comes up with fun cartoon ideas for me all the time. I dream of being a ballerina one day and Edmond would love to find four tap horse shoes so he can tap his way to stardom.
Rumpy: Oh I know you would be the bestest dancers ever! Now, tell everyone more about your blog!
Edmond: We go on adventures everyday to a new habitat to meet an animal. There’s Mammal Monday, Reptilian Tuesday, Watery Wednesday & Feathery Friday! Super Surprise Thursday use to feature a surprise adventure, but we have changed it. Now we’ll give you a small picture and a few clues and you’ll have to guess the animal.
Rumpy: Oooooh! A challenge!
Edmond: We also go on adventures to local zoos, aquariums and nature centers. Once a month Ellie comes up with an animal craft or activity! You’ll also be seeing more drawings from Ellie in posts this year.
This year we’ll be starting a few new features; Ellie and Edmond Go to the Movies, where we review animal movies and Super Horse to the Wildlife Rescue, where Edmond’s alter ego, Super Horse interviews wildlife rescuers about their work! We are very excited for the new features. You’ll also be seeing some contests and posts on how you can help protect our animal friends!
If you follow us on Twitter and/or Facebook, you can play 2 o’clock (Eastern time) trivia Mon-Fri with us! Trivia has become one of our most popular activities and we love it because people learn new things all the time!
Rumpy: Oh, that is so exciting!!! One more question: If you were a dinosaur what kind would you be?
Ellie: Oooooh… Edmond would have be an Edmontosaurus (yes, it was a real dinosaur), because of their name!
Edmond: And Ellie would have been a triceratops, because she likes their horns!
Rumpy: I gotta find out about this Edmontosaurus. Rawr!!! Thanks for being my guests!
Ellie: Thanks for having us on the blog Rumpy! We love the work you do to protect all the animals out there!
Be sure to check out The Adventures of Ellie and Edmond. You can also find Ellie and Edmond on Twitter (ellieandedmond) and on Facebook. They are also learning the ropes to Google +.
