Black Cats Crossing Your Path!

I have a difficult time getting good photos of the black cats. The lighting in this home is not ideal, and with Little Girl, good luck getting her to stand still long enough to get a decent shot.

But recently I got a good one of each of them, so I thought I’d share them with you. Cute pics always make Monday more bearable.

Hope yours is a good one.

Graybie Baby is a basket case!

She doesn't appear happy, but I was sure happy she sat still long enough for me to get a decent photo of her.

  2. Awwwww sweet to see the panthers in your house! I was lucky when I had my Black Jack. He was lazy and I lived in the mountains in a very sunny house. I have quite a few ‘decent’ pics of him but not like Marty and how well he photos.

  5. Oh my goodness! That is absolutely fabulous! We have the same challenges with our cats and our black lab. I think the background can make a very big difference. This one is stunning.

  12. Mom has the same issues. Photographing black kitties can be quite difficult. For Mom the lighting isn’t bright enough or Luna comes out super shiny and she isn’t the best at being still either. Mom totally understands and these two came out lovely.

  20. We suffer dreadfully from the black animal photo syndrome ;-) So hard to take and good lighting is always vital. You’ve done superbly – gorgeous shots of the lovelies.

  22. They’re both beautiful. They remind me of our black cat, Shadow, who passed in 2001.

  23. Love the photos, the black cat is beautiful…not that I’m biased or anything having had a beautiful black cat of my own, before he vanished, never to be seen again after we moved house. I would love to give this one a big wolfie cuddle! :)

  24. Beautiful photos of a beautiful cat. Photographing animals is always tricky – you can’t tell them to sit still and say ‘cheese’! (well, you can, but they won’t do it) :)

All About Me!

Hi! My name is Rumpy, and I am an Alaskan Malamute. I used to live in Middle Tennessee, but now my family and I reside in southeast Alabama. I have this cool blog that I started in 2011. Here at rumpydog.com we talk about all things animal, with a focus on animal welfare and responsible animal companion guardianship. But we also like to throw in a heaping helping of cute! cute! cute! I mean, how could you look at me and not melt, right?

My story? Well, I was found on the side of a busy street. Jenny thought she would help me find my home, but nobody claimed me. So now I live with her. She's a pretty good ole' gal, but she is mighty stingy with the dog cookies. *sigh*

There are also some cats- they each have their own story. June Buggie is their chief spokesperson. He is 16 years old, crotchety, and not afraid to say what's on his mind.

All writings and photos are the copyright property of Jenny Threet (unless the writer is a guest blogger, in which case it is the property of that guest blogger) and may not be used without permission.

You can contact me at rumpydog@hotmail.com.
