June Buggie Rants About Zebra Racing!

MEOW! My name is June Buggie and I have something to say.

I'm June Buggie and I'm hopping mad!

I’m June Buggie and I’m hopping mad!

If you’re in New Orleans this weekend you can go to the Fairgrounds Race Course and Slots  and watch  zebra racing.

What kind of absurd nonsense is this?

Zebras are not domesticated animals. They panic in stressful situations, they react in unpredictable manners, and they have been known to attack humans. And yet these beautiful creatures are being put into this stressful situation to amuse humans.

And for what? So you can watch them be scared out of their wits?

I urge you to contact the race course and POLITELY voice your displeasure. You can do so at:

Tim Bryant, President, Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots tim.bryant@fgno.com

Eric Halstrom, Vice President and General Manager of Racing eric.halstrom@fgno.com

Also contact Loyola and Tulane Universities and tell them that by having their mascots at the race track that day they are condoning this abusive practice. You can tweet Tulane president Scott Cowan @TulaneScott. You can contact Loyola University president Kevin Wm. Wildes at pres@loyno.edu.

I get so frustrated with you humans and your asinine belief that you are the only creatures of importance on this planet. You won’t rest until you’ve either killed the rest of us off or made us as miserable as you are. I wish I could pee on the whole lot of ya.

MEOW!
