So last night Jen was on call. Nothing unusual about that. Except this time she actually got some calls. And was gone a long time.
When she got home, this is what she saw.
There! That oughtta show her!

We can relate….we have that very SAME look whenever she goes out!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug
Hope you got some extra cookies when she got back!
Yep, I know that feeling. When mom is gone too long we are not happy. I wait in the front window and my cat bro Bert shreds the toilet paper in the guest bath. But when she returns and snuggles with us all is forgotten.
I have learned to milk a grudge for all it’s worth!
That’s right! Lay the BIG GUILT TRIP on Jen…..the faces say it all!
Kitty Hugs, Sammy
OMG – that face – how can anyone resist not giving you the whole box of cookies. Hugs – Joyce and Isaiah
Oh dear, not a good look to come home to! We’re sure everything was made up in no time at all 😉
How dare she right?
You got your message across that’s for sure, and I hope she feels really guilty and dare play such a trick on you.
Rumpy we want to kiss your pouty face. You are adorable even when pouty.

Nothing worse than a starving dog. Couldn’t ya find anyfing in the kitchen 🙂 xx00xx
Mollie and Alfie
aww poor Rumpy. You gave her what for though!
That was us yesterday xxx
I love the photos. The one of you looking out the window is super!!! I’m guessing that Jen gave you extra cookies. xo
Awwww I love how you are waiting for her together. So cute!
Oh no! Rumpy….your face expression is so serious and a bit angry….you all look unhappy…..I’m very sorry that you had to wait for your dishes….but….Jen muct have been so busy….I’d love to give you huge hugs!
So cute! If I’m home late, the look on my dogs’ face seems to say, “Yay! I’m so happy you’re home! Because now you can FEED ME!!!!”
This face deserves a truckload of treats ;o)
So cute. Love that face.
Brilliant, R.! The sad face through the window gets them every time. I use it when Mom leaves and then again when she comes back. It is quickly followed by treats and cuddles.
Love and licks,
Cupcake
I think extra snuggles and treats are in order for having to wait and worry.
Blessings,
Goose

PERFECT GUILT TRIP Faces!!!! Way to GO.
You poor babies! You both look equally starved. We hope Mom is properly shamed. MOL!
There’s no harm in showing how very patient you’ve been!
Such a sad sad face in the window!
You’re very clever Rumpy, I won’t show this post to my animals, they could learn this guilt-provoking expression. My dogs never look sad when I come back, they sometimes cry when I’m gone though. Luckily we got no direct neighbour.
NIce to have someone waiting!
We always miss Mommy too when she leaves, but the welcome home she receives is wonderful! We always sniff inside the bags she brings home and always find something for us! We have a great Mommy!
Well, I hope rumpydog feels better today.
Hey! Your meow meow looks like our Bosco! Bosco gave me that look last night when I let the dogs into the bedroom.
Awwwwww, what a beautiful face to come home too….even if they gave you the cold shoulder.
Awww! Look at that face!
I love when dogs wait at the window for people! Great shot
After coming home to a face like that, I doubt she will ever leave again 🙂
Haha! I usually get the guilt trip before I leave. The look on Storm’s face breaks my heart and makes me want to cry. Yeah, she definitely has that face down to a ‘T.’ Her ears get down to the side of her face, her eyes get all big and plead to you, and she lowers her head to the floor. But she is always happy when I come back. 🙂
Aw, he looks like he can use a walk too.
Oh! Me has been there and done that!
Kisses
Nellie
I have a feeling Jen won’t leave you alone again. Those faces say it all.
Rumpy — you tickle me so … thank you!!!:D
Even a short time seems long to a dog. So if Jen was gone a long time it must have seemed like forever! We’re glad she got home safe and sound and could snuggle with you.
It’s hard to wait so long, I know. But think how tired and hungry Jen must have been. I bet she won’t leave you like that again unless she absolutely has to. Our three babies are deliriously happy when we come home, and they are hyper for the rest of the day/evening. It’s like they didn’t believe we were coming home?!
Did you see how happy Jen was to see you when she got home? Did you purr and wag your tails?
I’m sure you felt bad about the guilt trips you put on Jen, because once you saw her face, gave her a kiss and purred, you forgot you were starving! The happiness was overwhelming! 🙂
It’s tough to be without the ones we love and I bet seeing your face like that melts away the day into love.
Awww…that sad doggy face gets me every time! 😦
I would pout too, if this happened to me 😦
