I am happy to report the Polar Vortex has moved on down the road! YAY!
It was very cold here, but now we’re expecting regular winter weather- highs in the 50s/60s and lows above freezing, along with a chance of rain every other day.
I was heartened to learn that many people brought their dogs in during the extreme cold. Jen’s co-workers talked about keeping their dogs inside or at least in a safe, warm outside building such as a barn. At shops, people were talking about their pets being inside.
And the neighbor’s dog that lives his life on the end of a chain was not outside last night. That made us all feel relieved.
I want to personally thank all the weather forecasters and other media type folks that mention bringing pets inside whenever the weather turns ugly. It might not seem like much, but your mentioning this fact is what is slowly changing the hearts and minds of people around the world.
