A Cookie Limerick!

Oh Dog! Today I am sharing yet another in my series of love poems to cookies. Today: a limerick!

My favorite thing’s the cookie.
It fills me with delight and glee.
I’ll sit or lie down
Or follow you ’round
In hopes that you’ll give one to me.

And don’t forget you’ve got until midnight tonight (Central Daylight Time) to enter DeDe’s TinTin giveaway! Woo woo woo!

Hey Jen, can I have that cookie now?

Thank you!

  2. You certainly deserve more than a cookie for that limerick, Rumpy. Are those home made?

By the way, advance happy Easter.

  5. Yea! Cookies for pups! Does this mean Jen’s out of the doghouse, or not? Excellent poem is very much deserving of the cookie reward. >^..^<

  6. You actually have to beg for something? How awful - I never have to beg because I am beautiful. Everyone just worships me and if they do not, then I just give them a swat side the head with claws extended. Works wonders on everyone, except Mom. She gets mad and then puts me in the bathroom for a time out. Then later that night I get even for the bathroom thing by running across the bed when she is sleeping. MEEEEOOOOOOOWWWWW!!
I like the poem, it is really cool!

  12. That’s a great poem Rumpy about one of cats AND dogs favorite things - treats! I love my cookies too - in my house it’s my Dad who’s the cookie dispenser. He has my cookie jar by his chair. I just go stand at his feet and look pitiful and VOILA - a cookie appears!

    Happy Friday

  37. The German: “Best poem ever - so easy to learn. I’m following my people around repeating it until they give in….I did have to go stand under the treat cabinet and chant it for awhile until they caught on. Mucho glad you created this one!”

All About Me!

Hi! My name is Rumpy, and I am an Alaskan Malamute. I used to live in Middle Tennessee, but now my family and I reside in the Florida Panhandle of the US. I have this cool blog that I started in 2011. Here at rumpydog.com we talk about all things animal, with a focus on animal welfare and responsible animal companion guardianship. But we also like to throw in a heaping helping of cute! cute! cute! I mean, how could you look at me and not melt, right?

My story? Well, I was found on the side of a busy street. Jenny thought she would help me find my home, but nobody claimed me. So now I live with her. She's a pretty good ole' gal, but she is mighty stingy with the dog cookies. *sigh*

Also living here is DeDe- an older lady of unknown origins that was living at the trash dump. DeDe has many health concerns, yet you'd never know it by looking at her. She's the happiest dog in the whole world!

There are also some cats- they each have their own story. June Buggie is their chief spokesperson. He is 16 years old, crotchety, and not afraid to say what's on his mind.

All writings and photos are the copyright property of Jenny Threet (unless the writer is a guest blogger, in which case it is the property of that guest blogger) and may not be used without permission.
