I got some treats to celebrate my 1000th post yesterday, and June Buggie wasn’t happy about it!!!
I got a new squeaky toy, and boy was June Buggie jealous!
I also got a pig ear! See June Buggie below giving the glare of disapproval?
Little Girl loved my new toy. June Buggie sat in the back and pouted.
Oh yeah, I’ll take that!
I don’t care WHAT you kitties think! I LOVE my new toy!
Hi! My name is Rumpy, and I am an Alaskan Malamute. I used to live in Middle Tennessee, but now my family and I reside in southeast Alabama. I have this cool blog that I started in 2011. Here at rumpydog.com we talk about all things animal, with a focus on animal welfare and responsible animal companion guardianship. But we also like to throw in a heaping helping of cute! cute! cute! I mean, how could you look at me and not melt, right?
My story? Well, I was found on the side of a busy street. Jenny thought she would help me find my home, but nobody claimed me. So now I live with her. She's a pretty good ole' gal, but she is mighty stingy with the dog cookies. *sigh*
There are also some cats- they each have their own story. June Buggie is their chief spokesperson. He is 16 years old, crotchety, and not afraid to say what's on his mind.

I’ve got a new ball. It’s green and I can’t seem to crush and tear it as I do most toys.
Oh Yeh, my name is “Moose”. I’m a 10 month old Pit-Bull puppy with a big head and a big heart. I live here in Maryland with my Mom and Dad and my Grammy and Poppy. I hope you get my pictures ok. I also live with two cats. “Mic” is a Bombay and his half brother “Little Boy” is a Gray Tabby with big green eyes. Mic has written before so you probably remember him. He was one of six cats. Now he’s one of two. Our human; who calls himself “Angryman”; has a real name; Mark; but I like to think of him as “Absent-Minded Man” because he often doesn’t feed them until 10 or 11 o’clock when he knoooows they like to eat as soon as his feet hit the floor and will wake him if he sleeps past about. My Dad feeds me so poppy doesn’t have to worry about me unless I want to play or need a hug and a kiss. Literally; I like to stand up; put one paw on each of his shoulders and give him big sloppy kisses while he scratches my back. Don’t pass that around; Ok? I’m a little embarrassed that I love something so; Un-dog-ly.
Anyway. Keep your “Pimp Paw” strong Rump. I find pinning the cats under my paw is an effective way to keep them humble. They wiggle and twist and I just laugh. Fun; fun; fun.

It’s always fun to get a new prezzie and a special treat. We thought that pig ear was some pizza at first. Does an ear smell like a hoof? It looks like a tasty nom. We’re really intrigued by that blue toy. Is it a critter? Is it one of those stretchy ones that pop back like an accordion? We have a long snake-y toy that makes rustling sounds when we pounce on it.
You know, we kitties think everything we see belongs to us. June Buggie was just trying to remind you of that! <3

Molly got one yesterday - it’s been raining a lot…need to distract her from the window sill sometimes..hers is still mostly here despite the razor sharp chomping…she sees toy destruction as a challenge…she should be a tough dog toy company testing dog
