More From Rumpy

I am now assigned to work from home. It’s great to get to be here with Rumpy and the kitties more, even if I’m working. Especially now. Rumpy has taken a turn for the worse. He still eats well and never says no when I offer to take him outside, but his breathing continues to … Continue reading

The Vet Said…

We’ve just come back from our follow-up with the vet. The initial exam was unremarkable. Normal temp. Breathing sounded better. His lymph nodes felt OK. Next more X-rays to have another look at that lymph node. I also asked if they’d aspirate the tumor on his leg to see if it could be a lypoma. It’s … Continue reading

The Latest on Rumpy

Rumpy continues to amaze me with his recovery.   Don’t get me wrong, he’s not well. Right now he’s lying at my feet panting. His breathing is no longer labored, but it’s still heavy. Last week I was begging him to eat anything. This morning he ate his regular dry food mixed with canned! Last week … Continue reading

June Buggie Has Hyperthyroidism

June Buggie has hyperthyroidism. He’s always been an aggressive cat, but lately even he’s been even more so. He meowed alot. He would eat his food, then go after mine. Yet despite his eating like a mad cat, he lost weight. I was going to take him to the vet this week anyway, but Sunday he … Continue reading

Hissy Fit Jones Says…..

Yesterday was annual shots day for several of the gang, including Hissy Fit Jones. As you would expect, it didn’t go well. Thank goodness that only happens once a year!

Words on Wednesday- Cold Laser Treatment

As I told you, DeDe got a cold laser treatment at the vet’s office as a part of her treatment for arthritis.   Cold therapy, also known as low level laser therapy (LLLT), is an experimental treatment but some find it to be effective with short-term relief from pain in joints caused by arthritis. The therapy has … Continue reading

A Natural Solution for Flea and Tick Control

Oh Dog!  DeDe enjoyed her Dear DeDe segment so much!  But now the cats are plotting because they too want to blog.  I dunno what to do!  Pretty soon I won’t get to write ANY posts on MY blog!  I guess I better enjoy it while I can. So today I want to talk about … Continue reading

A Kind Gesture

We received this card in the mail today.  It’s from Sage’s vet.  We were so touched!  Past vets have sent cards, but we’ve never received one where the staff wrote personal messages.  I think they’re keepers!
